The Capital Wheel and Carousel at National Harbor Temporarily Suspend Operation
Out of an abundance of caution, and in support of the nation’s call to stop the spread, The Capital Wheel at National Harbor will temporarily suspend operations beginning March 18.
We will continue to closely follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, state and local health officials and the Office of Emergency Management in monitoring the situation and adjusting as needed.
When daily operations resume, guests can be confident that our stringent sanitation protocol will be in place. Gondolas and all surfaces will once again undergo a thorough cleaning to ensure the safety of our guests and team members.
Daily admission tickets previously sold for 2020 will be valid through December 31, 2020. Groups with planned special events, tours, light sponsorships and parties will be contacted directly to re-schedule.
