Capital Wheel Photo Contest Terms and Conditions

By entering The Capital Wheel Photo Contest (“Contest“), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility
   Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.
2. Ownership and Usage Rights
   By submitting a photo to the Contest, you irrevocably assign and transfer to The Capital Wheel, its affiliates, licensees, successors, and assigns, all right, title, and interest in and to the submitted photo, including all copyrights.
   The Capital Wheel may, at its sole discretion, use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, display, create derivative works of, and otherwise exploit the photo, in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or hereafter developed, for any lawful purpose, without further permission from or compensation to the entrant, whether or not the photo is selected as a winner.
3. Winner and Prize
   One (1) winner will be selected to receive a prize of $500. Prize will be awarded by check, direct deposit, or other method determined by The Capital Wheel. All taxes, fees, and other expenses associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
   Winner may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability/Publicity Release, and provide a completed IRS Form W-9 before receiving the prize. Failure to return required documentation within the time specified may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of an alternate winner.
4. Representations and Warranties
   By submitting a photo, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the sole creator and owner of the photo, or have full rights to submit it and transfer ownership;
• The photo does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party;
• You have obtained permission from all identifiable individuals appearing in the photo, and can provide written releases if requested.

5. Release and Indemnity
   By participating, you release and hold harmless The Capital Wheel, its affiliates, employees, officers, agents, and assigns from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or use of any submitted photo, including but not limited to claims for copyright infringement, violation of privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light.
6. General Conditions
   The Capital Wheel reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined in its sole discretion.
   All decisions by The Capital Wheel regarding the Contest, including eligibility, winner selection, and prize award, are final and binding.
7. Governing Law
   This Contest and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
